View finder

This past week I have been practicing not looking through the view finder on my camera, reason for this is to just experiment. I really enjoy taking images that i am drawn too, and try to steer away from pressing the shutter button just because there is a so called picture perfect scene.

I have found patience is needed to photograph like this (I am becoming more patient, I think.) & to be able switch off all other distractions, it is amazing at what we see when we become present in the moment.

And I also have the most amazing person to practice this on.
All images were taken not looking through the view finder from the five images below I probably took about 100 shots, so not all turn out but it never hurts to try.

Hope everyone had an amazing day, whatever you chose to do.

Daniel.

Portfolio Update

I have just updated the Portfolio page on my website.
With images from a recent Wedding &  Portrait session, I hope you like them.

Still in the process of editing more Image Sessions so it will be updated again soon, for those that have been waiting for the update thank you for your patience.

And everything is better with an image, so here is one from a trip out in the hills near Araluen.

Take care,
Daniel.

I was fortunate enough last week to do a portrait session with my aunty, I had a great afternoon out with Sam walking around & talking while doing the image session. I love the images of her, I think Sam is a very creative person & I was so excited to do the image session.

To Tyler.

This past week I have had time to be with Tyler, just playing around & having fun. He is such an amazing person now it might sound biased as I am his dad, but he really is. I can already see his independence & confidence in himself. He loves to have fun & to use his imagination.

Jesh wrote something about a week ago that I have not been able to stop thinking about.
"The imagination, A wonderful practice first invented & practiced by children."

That statement is so true & remember we were all children once, what would things be like if we practiced our imagination as well as we used too.
